The Puma LaMelo Ball LaFrancé Amour Untouchable adds a Puma Black and Glowing Pink colorway to NBA star LaMelo Ball’s chunky, Y2K-inspired sneaker.
As part of a collaboration between Puma and Ball’s brand LaFrancé, the Untouchable Puma LaMelo Ball LaFrancé Amour sneaker embraces exaggerated silhouettes and oversized detailing. For instance, extra-wide black laces thread through the eyelets and create an overlapping pattern over the lace cage. Padding in the tongue and collar gives the sneaker a bulky appearance, while the thick EVA midsole furthers the exaggerated look and spans the full length of the shoe. Although the upper is crafted from a combination of leather, textile, and synthetic leather, the sockliner and insole are 100 percent textile.
Our experts like the bubble-like, graffiti-inspired LaFrancé branding on the midsole. The bulbous shapes match the oval textile detailing in Glowing Pink on the upper. The Puma LaMelo Ball LaFrancé Amour Untouchable was released on July 19, 2024, and retailed for $110.
