You might say that the Reebok Kamikaze II "OKC" is what might have been if Shawn Kemp and the Sonics had relocated to Oklahoma City a decade or two earlier than the franchise actually made the move. Kemp played for the Seattle Supersonics from 1989-1997 and was a 6-time NBA All Star. During the 1995-1996 season, Kemp led the Sonics to 64 wins and an appearance in the NBA Finals, all while wearing his signature Reeboks. But ten years or so after The Reign Man left Seattle, the franchise was relocated to Oklahoma City, leaving Seattle fans team-less. In hindsight, OKC has done well since the move but the subject is still a sore one for Seattle basketball fans. So the Kamikaze II in Oklahoma City colors of blue, orange and black, probably felt like salt on the wounds for die hard Shawn Kemp fans. Regardless of your team, the boldly patterned Kamikaze II is a definite head-turner in the OKC colorway and even if Shawn Kemp never played in Oklahoma City, those that stuck with the team through the move will definitely want this Thunder-inspired colorway in their collection. The Reebok Kamikaze II "OKC" dropped over All Star Weekend in 2013, exclusively at Foot Locker.
