Product Description
The 1996 NBA All Star game was one of the most important for sneakerheads and the Packer Shoes x Reebok Kamikaze II "Remember The Alamo" colorway perfectly ties together some of the most memorable moments of the era. Shawn Kemp’s second signature model from Reebok is the Kamikaze II and back in February of 1996, The Reign Man laced up a navy and white colorway for the Western Conference, finishing with 13 points and 4 rebounds. But the performance was not what sneaker enthusiasts were paying attention to, it was the bold design of the Kamikaze II that Kemp fans took notice of. New Jersey sneaker retailer Packer Shoes took the opportunity to revisit the San Antonio All Star game during the summer of 2013 with a retro version of the Kamikaze II. The phrase "Remember The Alamo" is one that has been passed on for generations through movies and history books and with this Packer Kamikaze, through sneakers too. Using the Cyclone Grey, Steel Grey, Powder Blue and orange of the original jerseys worn in that 96 All Star game, Packer recreated the Kamikaze II in one of its most popular variations. The design features the chile pepper from the jerseys integrated into Reebok’s vector logo and details like the 1996 stitched into the toebox, translucent outsole and grey nubuck toebox to make it one of the best Kamikazes ever released. Along with the original release and a restock during the 2015 All Star Weekend, the Packer Shoes x Reebok Kamikaze II "Remember The Alamo" also released in pack with a Mitchell & Ness Kemp jersey, hat and clear box that was individually numbered and limited to 40.
