If you’ve ever wished getting your hands on a Supreme Box Logo were easier or less expensive, we’ve got some exciting news for you. The world famous Supreme Box Logo is now more affordable and more accessible than ever before.

Whether found in the form of a t-shirt, hoodie, or crewneck, the Supreme Box Logo Top is the holy grail of the streetwear world and it pretty much always has been. The brand released their first-ever Box Logo t-shirt, in a classic white and red colorway, in 1994 upon the founding of the brand and the opening of their now relocated SoHo location in New York. The Barbara Kruger-inspired design has since found its way into the closets of pop culture’s most influential athletes, musicians, and influencers, turning it into a worldwide status symbol. Until recently, getting your hands on one of the Supreme’s world famous logo pieces wasn’t easy or inexpensive. In 2018, one of Supreme’s Box Logo Crewnecks would’ve cost you $722 USD on drop day but in the last year something unprecedented has happened. Supreme Box Logos have become far more affordable, dramatically so in fact.

In order to understand the gravity of the now-accessible Supreme Box Logo, one must first understand what’s made it so expensive to begin with: releases are rare, taking place just once or twice a year, and the brand traditionally drops a very limited run. It was Supreme, after all, that made scarcity one of the defining aspects of the streetwear industry. Aside from a The North Face collaboration, a Supreme Box Logo release was considered to be one of the most exciting events of the streetwear world, leading to lines around the block at their brick and mortar locations and unmatched feelings of victory for those able to cop online. Getting your hands on a Supreme Box Logo meant a massive instant profit opportunity on the resale market and a great investment if you were willing to hold for the long haul. Of course, this meant high prices for those looking to buy which meant only the committed or lucky truly got their shot to flex.

Prior to 2019, Supreme released less than twelve box logos per year on average. But with the release of the Supreme Swarovski, San Francisco Store Opening, and Bandana Box Logos the brand dropped a total of 24 Box Logo shirts in 2019. Despite more than doubling the output of new Box Logos, prices remained consistently high and relatively in line with premiums from previous years. For instance, the Supreme Bandana Box Logo Hoodie fetched a release week average resale price of $700 USD, not far below the $722 USD average sale price of the Box Logo Crewnecks that released the year before. As far as t-shirts go, the Supreme Bandana Box Logo t-shirt also delivered healthy resale price premiums, averaging a resale value of $302 USD, a premium of over 600%.

Things changed in 2020, though. As the world entered lockdowns due to the global pandemic, Supreme and Takashi Murakami dropped a collaborative Box Logo T-shirt for charity that went on to be one of the best selling streetwear items of 2020 on StockX. In its opening week, the average resale price of the Supreme x Takashi Murakami Box Logo was nearly $750 USD but by the end of the year, that t-shirt had become far more affordable, trading for closer to $350 USD in December. Supreme also released, for the first time ever, a long sleeve t-shirt version of their popular Box Logo but despite its never-before-seen design, the brand’s Box Logo L/S t-shirts quickly became the most affordable release week Box Logos ever, averaging a resale price of $229 USD. Now, the white and red colorway of the Supreme Box Logo L/S, potentially the most iconic and coveted colorway of previous releases, is reselling on StockX for the fairly accessible price point of under $200 USD.

The numbers from the COVID-19 Box Logo T-shirt and Box Logo Long Sleeve T-shirt were reason enough to declare the Box Logo an accessible apparel item and the following December 2020 release only cemented that claim. Compared to 2019’s release of the Bandana Box Logo, nearly 2,000 more Supreme Cross Box Logo Hoodies were resold in the week following its release at an average resale price of $378 USD. The same case runs true for the Cross Box Logo T-shirt, which was resold at an average price of $120 USD in its opening week, nearly one third the opening week prices of the Bandana Box Logo t-shirts from 2019. Average prices have continued to fall since the release of the Cross Box Logo and in the opening weeks of 2021, three Supreme Cross Box Logo T-shirt colorways were available for resale prices of under $100 USD.

For those who’ve been waiting years to finally get their hands on a Box Logo, now’s the time. Over the last two years, Supreme has steadily been increasing not only the number of releases, but it also looks like they’ve increased the volume of Box Logos released. It seems likely that we should come to expect that the brand will drop new Box Logos throughout the year, instead of just once or twice. With the label more than doubling the number of Box Logos they’ve dropped over the past two years and the fact that the brand will likely keep growing, it’s possible that this trend will continue. This may mean less profits for sellers but at a resale value of even $120 USD, sellers are often easily doubling their investment still. And for buyers, particularly those who’ve only ever seen the box logo as out of reach, the time to rock your favorite grail has arrived.
