For the first time since 2017, Supreme has delivered their Box Logo Hoodie in its most traditional design. After collaborating with Japanese streetwear brand, WTAPS, for Week 15 of the Fall/Winter 2021 season, Supreme has opted for a collaboration-less release in Week 16. The release included nine new colors of a Supreme Box Logo Hoodie with beanies to match. While these likely won’t be the last Box Logos to drop in 2021, they’re probably the most significant, and for that reason, the Box Logo Hoodie is this week’s Supreme Pick of the Week.

The Supreme Box Logo is one of the most coveted apparel items in the ever-converging worlds of fashion and streetwear. Released in extremely limited quantities only once or twice a year, the Box Logo Hoodie has become a symbol of exclusivity. Over the years, Supreme has released their Box Logo Hoodie in many forms. The last three years have seen the delivery of Swarovski, Bandana, and Cross Box Logo designs all of which take the original logo and spin it in different ways.

The traditional Supreme Box Logo Hoodie, a sweatshirt with the original unaltered logo on it, has become even more rare than the novel versions that have been made available in recent years. Supreme last released the standard Box Logo Hoodie four years ago in the Fall/Winter season of 2017. But even those hoodies came with their own flavor of novelty as each one featured a bright, almost neon colored Box Logo that heavily contrasted with the hoodie it was embroidered on.

This season’s Box Logo Hoodies mark the first time that Supreme has released the iconic sweatshirt in traditional colorways in more than 5 years. Fall/Winter 2021’s Supreme Box Logo Hoodie release features the return of a black colorway and a white colorway as well as the addition of pink, mustard, navy, and more. What some fans will find most exciting about the drop is the inclusion of a red Supreme Box Logo on the chest of two hoodie colors: white and charcoal. Supreme’s Fall/Winter 2021 Box Logo Hoodies were released on December 9th, 2021, at the retail price of $168.

Despite the fact that this is the first time Supreme has made their original Box Logo Hoodie available in several years, the hoodies are still far more affordable now than they have been in the past. Early trading of this season’s Box Logos shows that on average, the hoodies are being sold for around $400. This is similar in price to last year’s Cross Box Logo Hoodies but still significantly less than FW19’s Bandana Box Logo Hoodies, which began trading for between $500 and $600 when they first released. Looking further back only amplifies the contrast. The brand’s White Box Logo Hoodie from Fall/Winter 2016 was trading for more than $1,000 on average but this season’s White Hoodie, which features the exact same design, is trading on average for less than $400. For those looking to buy a Supreme Box Logo Hoodie, potentially even for the first time, they’ve never been more affordable than they are right now.
