Artist Andres Serrano is known for his controversial style which mashes up religious themes with bodily fluid, like blood and semen. Here we see one of his most controversial works in the spotlight again, but in the form of a hooded sweatshirt. The Supreme Piss Christ Hooded Sweatshirt was part of the Supreme Fall/Winter 2017 collection that consisted of a collaborative pieces with the artist. The focus of the piece is the 1987 art piece named Piss Christ. The Roman Catholic artist created the scene by submerging a small plastic crucifix in his own urine. The photograph of the image received opinions from lovers and haters. Two decades later prints of the piece are still the target of vandalism. Supreme put the image on the center of their heavyweight cotton fleece hooded sweatshirt in black. Front and centered on the chest, don’t be surprised if you get some stares wearing this hoodie. On the back the artist and brand’s name were added by the neckline. The entire collection between Supreme and Andres Serrano released online and Supreme shops on September 21st, 2017.
