MCM

Luxury fashion brand MCM Worldwide was founded in 1976 by Michael Cromer in Munich, Germany, and is known by its initialisation, which now stands for Modern Creation München. MCM has long been known for its logo print, called Visetos, which is a key design element of the brand’s products. With creative headquarters in Berlin, MCM is chiefly known for handbags and leather goods, while also producing clothing, shoes, accessories, home goods, and fragrance.

MCM’s iconic logo print adorns many of its leather goods, and the Cognac Visetos, a black pattern printed over a cognac leather base, is its most known and beloved print. The classic Cognac Visetos has remained a staple since the brand’s origin and appears in a range of styles to suit your lifestyle, from reversible shopper totes to backpacks, waist packs, and wallets. The Stark Backpack shows the brand’s experimentation with Cognac Visetos, re-imagined here as mini backpack accented by gold studs.

MCM authenticates its pieces with a brass plate insignia, which is found on all heritage collection bags and most other pieces. Each plate features a unique registration number at the bottom, ensuring that no two MCM pieces are 100% alike. With heritage at the forefront of MCM’s design philosophy, the brand has expanded upon the Visetos in many hues, such as powder pink, neon yellow, and Viva Red, or variations, such as the MCM x BAPE collaboration, which featured varsity style letters appliquéd to Cognac Visetos leather.

MCM devotees will find a selection of the brand’s many offerings on StockX, including t-shirts, other clothing, and footwear, such as the stylish and comfortable monogrammed slides.
