Saucony

Saucony (pronounced "sock-a-knee") shoes have a long following and fan base since they’ve been making athletic footwear since 1898. They’ve kept their focus on sneakers in three main areas: racing, running, and walking. They first rose to fame with their spikes, such as the men’s Speedstar and the women’s Scat.

Saucony’s designs are notoriously distinct and founded on their history of retro running. Before air, before hype, Saucony was doing everything in its power to inspire running worldwide. The Jazz is a beloved style that made its debut in 1981. Other staple silhouettes include the Shadow, Azura, Grid, Kilkenny XC Spike, Kinvara, Peregrine, Guide, Fastswitch 7, Triumph ISO 2, Ride ISO 2, and the Endorphin Pro. What we love about this lineup is that athletes of all levels, from beginning to pro, can find comfortable footwear no matter the terrain where they’re training, competing, or simply taking it easy.

Retro versions have made their appearance to great fanfare. For example, the Jazz NXT takes the classic Jazz design and performance features and gives them a twist for tomorrow’s generation. The Shadow 6000 has collaborated with END., Footpatrol, ALIFE, and Premier, to name a few. The Shadow 6000 Food Fight is a fun silhouette that was inspired by a good-ole cafeteria food fight. The mix of colours and textures and the fact that they aren’t a uniform pair certainly make them unique in the sneaker world.

As for sneaker tech that gives each silhouette their high-performance features, Saucony has a long list: from crystal rubber, which provides traction and durability with increased flexibility, to FLEXFILM which makes it possible to have fewer layers in the upper, to PWRRUN+, which is the key behind lightweight, super-resilient cushioning.
