Put together A Perfect Fit for the latest offering from Nike and Off-White.

This article is part 19 of 42 in the series: A Perfect Fit

Nike and Off-White come together again on a brand new collaborative release, this time reworking the basketball classic, Blazer Low. Although Off-White is no stranger to the Nike Blazer silhouette, as the high was one of the 10 sneakers featured in Virgil Abloh’s debut Nike collection called The Ten in 2017, this latest pack will be the first time Off-White’s touch is found on the Blazer’s low-cut iteration. If you were one of the chosen few to win the SNKRS draw or locked down your pair on StockX, make sure to have A Perfect Fit to match these kicks.

In 1973, Nike introduced the Blazer to their limited catalog of sneakers as a brand that was still trying to cement its position within sportswear. At that time, the brand only featured a small number of running shoes, as founders Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman started Nike (then called Blue Ribbon Sports) primarily for runners. But in order for Nike to establish itself as a premier sports brand, expanding into other popular athletics was a priority to stay relevant. Nike looked to the Blazer as their ticket into the holistic sports industry. Despite its minimalist look, the Blazer quickly picked up momentum thanks to NBA hall of famer George “The Iceman” Gervin, who was a star point guard for the San Antonio Spurs. He wore the Blazer throughout the majority of the 70s. Thanks in part to The Iceman’s on-court performances and the sneaker’s pioneering specs, the Blazer became a hit for the Swoosh and brought more attention to the then-nascent brand. Since its start in the 70s, the Blazer has hit many avenues of pop culture within skateboarding and hype culture. With brands like Off-White using the silhouette as a canvas for its Nike projects, the Blazer has seen its fair share of hype within sneaker culture as well, with this recent Blazer Low collaboration continuing that legacy.

The Nike Blazer Low Off-White is the first sneaker to drop between the two brands since the passing of Off-White’s creator and designer, Virgil Abloh. The sneakers are done in typical Off-White fashion, both boasting a deconstructed look with cutout holes and double lace systems reminiscent of Off-White’s past Air Jordan and Nike Dunk releases. This latest Blazer Low update arrives just in time for spring and summer, ideal weather for showing off low-cut kicks.

Off-White Brushed Mohair Diag Arrows Logo Knit Sweater Black/Rainbow

Capture all of the colors on both Blazer Lows with this sweater from Off-White. The Off-White Brushed Mohair Diag Arrows Logo Knit Sweater is a knit sweater that is lightweight enough to be worn in the warmer temperatures of spring. The sweater features a plethora of colors suited for both Blazer Lows, as it boasts a similar collage of reds, oranges, greens, and blues all on top of black mohair. Classic Off-White Diag Arrows Logo on the back shows off the Off-White brand and elevates the Blazer Lows even more.

OFF-WHITE New Era Chicago Cubs Fitted Hat Blue/Red

Contiue the holey theme with this other Off-White collaboration with New Era. The popular hat brand tapped Virgil and his Off-White imprint for an exclusive set of three MLB caps. Out of the three hats from the collection, the Chicago Cubs hat stands out as a clear match for the White and Red Blazer Lows. The cap and sneakers complement each other’s color scheme of Red, White, and Blue. Not to mention, for those from Chicago, rocking both pieces together would be a true homage to the Windy City as both the Cubs and Virgil Abloh are both native to the city.

Nike x Nocta x Top Boy Alien GORE-TEX Jacket Blue Black

Show off your love for the Swoosh by rocking pieces by two of Nike’s most elite talents, Drake and Virgil. The Nike x Nocta x Top Boy Alien GORE-TEX Jacket released alongside the return of Top Boy, one of Netflix’s hit drama series, which is executive produced by Drake himself. This lightweight jacket is just the right transitional piece you need with the weather teetering between cold and warm, and its water-resisting GORE-TEX material will protect you from spring showers. Pair this jacket with the Black Blazer Low from the Off-White collection for an ultimate fit that is both stylish and practical.

Comme des Garçons PLAY Red Heart Blue Eyes T-shirt White

Comme des Garçons PLAY is another great piece to style with the White and Red Blazer Low. The Rei Kawakubo label features playful and colorful garments like this Red Heart Blue Eyes t-shirt. The shirt sports two versions of CdG’s popular Heart logos both as a graphic and embroidered patch on the left chest pocket. The prominent red characters on the tee will bring out the red colors of the Blazer Low and provide a solid option for warmer days.

SOULGOODS Hand Painted Knit Sweater Green

Alongside the aforementioned Off-White Mohair sweater is another knit option, courtesy of SOULGOODS. Started in Beijing, China in 2016, SOULGOODS’ aim is “to operate with the existence of soul”, which is apparent with their products like this SOULGOODS Hand Painted Knit Sweater. This sweater sports a mix of black and orange graphics atop a bright green knit base. Each graphic is as unconventional as the next, such as a caged bird and a bengal cartoon tiger with a resemblance to Pink Panther. The garment is as unique as the Off-White sneakers are, and that just feels fitting for both to be paired together. Plus, the light green color of the sweater will match the similarly toned laces of the Black Blazer Lows, making it an easier option for a fit.

Fear of God Essentials Volley Shorts Black Reflective

For those either living in warmer climates or prepping for the summer, these shorts from Fear of God might be your best bet for matching both Off-White Blazer Lows. The Fear of God Essentials Volley Shorts Black Reflective aren’t your average short, as they are made with an entirely reflective material, bringing shine to your fit in more ways than one. Despite its shiny properties, its neutral color will go great with either Off-White Blazer Low and will be an appropriate option for those hotter days.
