Air Jordan 12

The Nike Air Jordan 12 was the twelfth signature shoe under the Air Jordan collection. A product of the creative Tinker Hatfield, the first edition debuted in late 1996. The retro of this White/Black/Taxi colorway debuted in 2022. The following year, in 1997, four more versions of the shoe were released. All feature a Chicago Bulls color scheme apart from the Obsidian colorway, which has a dark blue and white theme.

The Air Jordan 12's design was inspired by the Japanese flag emblem. This was translated onto the shoe with a large leather panel from the midfoot to the toe, from which stitched lines run across the contrasted upper. The first Air Jordan model to use Zoom Air technology, this shoe features a full-length Zoom Air unit in a Phylon midsole. Unlike its predecessors, it was the first model not to have a Swoosh anywhere on it and come in a Nike-branded box.

What we love the most about the Nike Air Jordan 12 is the nostalgia it has, given that some of the most memorable career moments of Michael Jordan happened as he wore the shoes. Michael wore these shoes in Game 1 of the NBA finals – where he made the game-winning shot, in the championship-clinching Game 6 victory – where he scored 39 points, and in the iconic Flu Game.
