Started in 1825 by brothers Cyrus and James Clark in Somerset, England, Clarks was originally known for producing rugs out of sheepskin. Then, after crafting a line of slippers made out of animal hides, Clarks began its journey in the footwear industry. It wasn't until 1961 that Clarks first offered their signature Wallabee silhouette, a design inspired by moccasins. The Clarks Wallabee has become a staple silhouette for the brand, maintaining its presence in current culture through the adoption of new subcultures and collaborations. Another popular Clarks shoe is the Desert Boot, which was introduced in the 1950s and drew inspiration from British military boots. They are known for their suede construction and crepe soles. Clarks shoes today are offered in a wide variety of silhouettes and colorways. Shop Clarks shoes on StockX now.
