The Air Jordan 27 is a performance silhouette designed by Tinker Hatfield and Tom Luedecke. Also known as the Air Jordan 2012 “Choose Your Flight,” it is available in different colourways and models.

Air Jordan 27 trainers are designed using the “One Shoe, Three Flights” concept, which features three interchangeable insoles that make the trainer a high or mid-cut. This trainer offers wearers two inner-sleeve choices (high support or low flexibility) and three midsole options known as “Quick,” “Air,” or “Explosive,” which lets them customise the shoe to their fit. The Air Jordan 2012 trainer is made of a leather upper with Flywire technology, perforations, and wing tip-like shapes inspired by "zoot suits" worn in the 1920s and 1930s. It features a translucent synthetic base with leather overlays at the collar, toe, and quarter panel. Branding details include the Jumpman logo on the tongue and the laterals.

A stripped-down version of the original is offered in the Air Jordan 2012 Lite, which is made of lightweight materials. The lightweight upper is constructed with Flywire and Hyperfuse, whilst the injected Phylon midsole is equipped with a full-length Air unit for lightweight underfoot cushioning. It also features a segmented rubber outsole with flex grooves and multidirectional patterns for flexibility and traction. The Air Jordan 27 Lite is available in different colourways, including White/Gym Red/Navy Blue, Black/White, Black/Varsity Blue, and Photo Blue/White Obsidian Black. Original versions of the trainer come in various colourways, including Wolf Grey/Volt, University Blue, White/Black, and the Storm Blue/Tide Pool Blue “Year of the Dragon” version, which celebrated the 2012 Chinese New Year.
