Launched in 1984, the adidas ZX line was originally designed for runners of all types and abilities. Designed by Jacques Chassaing and Markus Thaler, the line was broken down into two subdivisions: training models and competition models. Silhouettes were color-coded based on their primary function, going from Cushion (Blue) to Support (Yellow) to Guidance (Green) to Racing (Red).
