Product Description

In the mid-2010s, adidas spent a great deal of time tinkering with the idea of creating laceless shoes. One of the sneakers that would come out of the iterations during this time was the adidas NMD City Sock White Grey.

The NMD City Sock White Grey sneaker was made possible, in part, by the advancements adidas made while developing its Primeknit and Boost technologies. The brand created a sock-like upper for the shoe constructed out of lightweight Primeknit material. This makes the sneaker fit like a glove. It also has a Boost outsole that provides comfort and support.

What our experts appreciate that this shoe design took a risk and proved that laceless sneakers could work under the right circumstances. The innovative use of Primeknit and Boost helped set the stage for all the other adidas laceless sneakers that would come after it. The adidas NMD City Sock White Grey was released on 8th July 2016 for $190.
