This innovative, impactful sneaker is back and better than ever. adidas was founded in 1949 and was successful for decades. By the late 1980s, however, the brand was in trouble. The death of the founder in the late 1970s contributed to the company's loss of identity. In 1991, adidas took the bold step of remaking the brand, and the EQT was a big part of that process. For the re-launch, adidas adopted a new motto emphasizing the basics. They also hired Peter Moore, the man behind Nike's successful Air Jordan 1. The result was a bold new silhouette and logo, which revitalized the brand. In 2017, adidas re-released the EQT. The new silhouette is more bulbous, but the commitment to essentials like support and comfort remains. One of the more popular editions of the sneaker is the EQT Support Mid ADV Primeknit Dragon Ball Z Shenron, which has a bold, multi-colored look. The EQT Support Ultra Pusha T Brown Paper Bag Bodega Babies in Brown/Brown/White is another favorite and has a lower profile, neutral color scheme, and knit collar for improved fit.
