Jordan 16 Sneakers

The Air Jordan 16 is a unique sports shoe in that there is a flap that hides the shoe’s laces, giving it a secure fit and a smooth look. The shoe was released in 2001, as Michael Jordan was stepping into his new role as president and partial owner of the Washington Wizards, marking a new era in his career. Jordan surprised fans by wearing the ginger colorway of this sneaker the first time he ever played for the Wizards.

The Air Jordan 16 shoe sports a black shroud covering the laces, giving this sneaker a quirky look. The piece is covered in stitching and has a magnetic closure. It also features a patent leather toe. The entire design is influenced by marching boots, and its features are designed so that it can be worn both on and off the court. The shoe comes in various colorways, including the Retro Midnight Navy and the OG Low Black / Chrome.

What makes the sneaker stand out is the magnetic shroud over the laces. Not seen on any other Air Jordan, this intricately stitched lace covering gives the shoe a versatile look, making it perfect for athletic wear or formal wear.
