Diemme

If you're the outdoor type who appreciates finely crafted Italian footwear, check out Diemme. The company was founded in the small town of Onè di Fonte in 1992, and its shoes retain the rich shoemaking heritage of this part of the Dolomites. Given the terrain here, the emphasis is on high-performance outdoor footwear. Its most enduringly popular and collectible shoes are dedicated to hiking and mountaineering. Every pair is still made in the family-owned company's original factory with limited production runs, so its craftspeople can use traditional shoemaking techniques and focus on every detail. This makes Diemme shoes highly sought-after.

Diemme shoes have a wide color palette. There are earth-tone colorways and more unusual combinations of purples and pinks. The hiking boots look as tough as they are, as you'll see in the Diemme Marmolada Hiker Boot Kith Navy. The upper sole area has robust, protective shielding, and the fastenings are of the highest quality. Panels of olive suede leather alternate with navy blue ones, and the sole is tough, with high-traction tread.

You can get casual shoes from Diemme here too. They are as robust and well-constructed as hiking boots, except they have the low profile and traditional design of street shoes. These also have unusual, variegated colorways, allowing them to stand out from a trainer or any other casual shoe. Diemme easily competes with other outdoor shoe brands like Timberland.
