English and Albanian artist Dua Lipa made her musical debut in 2017 with her self-titled album. A former model, Lipa's release came after signing with Warner Bros. in 2014. The years of dedication to crafting the album paid off, as the single "New Rules" became a U.K. number one. This momentum earned Dua Lipa awards such as the Brit Awards' Breakthrough Solo Act and a Grammy in 2019.
Following this auspicious debut, Dua Lipa released her second album, Future Nostalgia, in 2020. Future Nostalgia became a number-one album in the U.K., and its single "Don't Start Now" earned Lipa the longest top ten ranking on the U.K. Singles Chart for a British female artist. Working with Future Nostalgia's popularity, acclaim, and momentum, Warner Records created a cadre of limited edition vinyl presses of the album, including options of Black, Blue, and Translucent Neon Pink. There is even a Dua Lipa Future Nostalgia 12" LP Vinyl Box set, which features a Yellow vinyl record accompanied by an art print, a Future Nostalgia temporary tattoo, stickers, and a Polaroid image.
With the success of Future Nostalgia, Dua Lipa quickly became immersed in collaborations and other projects, going on to chart two additional U.K. number-one singles, including the Elton John duet "Cold Heart (Pnau remix)" and "Dance the Night," featured as the lead single on the Barbie (2023) film soundtrack. Lipa made her acting debut in Barbie, and with this exposure, it's no surprise that she's been tapped for a host of other projects and appearances. A veteran of the fashion industry, Dua Lipa designed a capsule collection for footwear brand Puma, expressing a modern, futuristic take on lifestyle shoes and sneakers.
