Kai is the brand founded by the L.A. multimedia artist professionally known as Kaï Aspire. His first exhibition in 2012 combined modern street culture with classic art forms. Titled "Now Royalty", his works depicted current hip-hop dressed as medieval kings and queens. He's praised by critics for his satirical take on mainstream consumerism, making him a counterculture hero in many quarters. This has turned Kai into a global brand, following showings in major world capitals like Paris.
Virtually all Kai prints or sculptures become collectible due to his lofty status, sharp social commentary, not to mention artistic vision. Some of his works, like the Kai Balancing Man Figure Sculpture, have attained almost mythical status. It depicts the figure balancing a pile of gold against a pile of hearts as if on a tightrope.
