Monopoly

The Monopoly game that many board game enthusiasts know and love today got its start in 1903, when a left-wing feminist named Lizzie Magie designed The Landlord’s Game. It was designed to prove the point that an economy that rewards individual people is better than one controlled by monopolies, and has since become one of the best-selling board games in the world. It’s often associated with American capitalism and the American dream, and the Monopoly man logo is widely recognized around the world.

The Monopoly game and its branding elements are so well known, in fact, that the brand produces new versions of the game, as well as merchandise, inspired by the game, such as action figures and trading cards. The Monopoly x Switch x Bait Mr. Pennybags Vinyl Figure Gold for example, is a vinyl figure bearing the likeness of the Monopoly man wearing a bandana around his face and carrying money. Those interested in new versions of the classic game can also check out the Monopoly Naruto Shippuden Board Game, a collaboration between Monopoly and the popular Manga series Naruto.

The Monopoly brand is clearly incredibly popular and a lot of unique merchandise can be found based on its branding, including the vinyl figures of the Monopoly man. If you’re in the market for other vinyl figures for your collection, though, you can check out the Bearbrick Collectibles category on StockX.
