Nike React Element Sneakers

Initially released in 2018 and inspired by Nike Internationalist, Nike React Element 87 is a line of casualwear sneakers. Although it first made its debut during Paris Fashion Week in 2018, the React Element 87 is a layman’s shoe. These sneakers were made with performance in mind and created for urban commuting on hard surfaces, such as concrete or pavement. In 2018, Nike React Element collaborated with the famed Japanese brand UNDERCOVER to launch a series of high-end, street-ready sneakers. Since then, the collection has made a name for itself based on technical specks.

These sneakers are known for their bright embellishments and colorful uppers that are offset by the signature React midsole. The vibrant colorways often include eye-catching combinations that contrast such as Volt, Aurora Green, Racer Pink, and Black. The Nike React Element 87 Undercover Lakeside exemplifies the line’s vivid, opposing hues with Lakeside, Electric Yellow, and Midnight Maroon. These sneakers also include a lace cage with a serrated edge and fortified stitching as well as a prominent pull loop on the heel.

What makes the Nike React Element 87 stand out is the sneakers’ technical, futuristic silhouette. Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) foam are built into both the midsole and the outsole, which means the sole is thick but also lightweight. Underneath the sneaker, the sole is covered with carved grooves in geometric patterns and rod-like rubber details. These add to the shoe’s futuristic aesthetic and create extra grip.

Nike React Element offers products in both the men’s footwear and women’s footwear categories; however, there are no grade school models available.
