Mattel Hot Wheels Top Gun 40th Anniversary Set

Product Description

The Mattel Hot Wheels Top Gun 40th Anniversary Set recreates the inverted flight encounter from the original film, placing Maverick and Goose’s F-14 Tomcat above an enemy MiG-28. The paired aircraft capture a recognizable cinematic moment, giving the set a clear identity beyond a conventional vehicle release. Its anniversary theme connects the display to four decades of Top Gun’s place in aviation and movie culture.

Both aircraft are made from ZAMAC die-cast metal and feature movie-inspired decoration with weathering effects. The F-14 includes moving wings that reflect the real aircraft’s variable-sweep design. A dedicated stand holds the jets in position and incorporates a die-cast plate with the Top Gun logo, preserving the relationship between the aircraft within the scene.

The premium soft-touch display box draws inspiration from Maverick’s helmet and includes film quotes and an image of Goose’s photograph. For collectors, the combination of articulated wings, coordinated aircraft, and scene-specific packaging makes this a focused tribute that can be appreciated as both a vehicle set and a film collectible.
