Product Description

In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, Nike released the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 in its original Freshwater colorway. The Air Griffey Max 1 made its debut in 1996, becoming the first design in Ken Griffey Jr.’s signature collection with Nike. Griffey was known for wearing the White Freshwater colorway in his 1995 season as a cleated version before the trainer even released.

The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 nods to the Seattle Mariners with its white, Fresh Water, black, and red upper. Nike branding and Griffey’s number, 24, are featured on the ankle strap. Fresh Water pull tabs donning the Nike Swoosh are located on both the tongue and the heel. A white midsole with dark teal Air bubbles and a black outsole conclude this throwback release.

The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 released in February of 2021 and retailed for $170.
