Nike Comme Des Garcons represents a series of collaborations between Nike and Comme des Garçons. Often referred to as CDG, Comme Des Garcons is a Japanese new-wave fashion label created by Rei Kawakubo in 1969. The brands partnered in 1999, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2015 and 2021. Known for its deconstructed tailoring, use of denim, and playful spirit, CDG updates Nike sportswear with high fashion elements. However, both brands have evolved since their collaborations began, as can be seen in the Nike x Comme Des Garcons products.

Bringing metal chains, heart-shaped leather patches, and eye-catching prints, Comme Des Garcons reinvents classic and obscure Nike silhouettes. The Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme Comme des Garcons Shirt prints a funky pattern of black and white eyes across the side of the Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme. Similarly, the Nike Cortez Platform Comme des Garcons White Black (Women's) takes the classic Cortez design and elevates it with a tall foam platformed sole. However, other models are far more subdued, with simple colorways and unadorned silhouettes.

Many Comme Des Garcons Nike models come with futuristic reconstructions, reflective tape, PVC material, black-and-white contrast or monotone color palettes. Although the CDG branding is never too obvious, it cannot be missed upon closer inspection. This sets Nike Comme Des Garcons apart from other Nike collaborations, which often rely heavily on the logos and emblems of the visiting label.

Although men’s footwear and women’s footwear are by far the most popular items produced by these collaborations, Nike Comme Des Garcons also features T-shirts.
