Nike LeBron 15 is Lebron James’ 15th signature shoe produced in collaboration with Nike. Designed by Jason Petrie, these models are known for their sock-like fit, a design feature rarely seen in basketball shoes. Many of the sneakers are part of the #LeBronWatch campaign, which introduced Lebron 15 models inspired by influential shoes in Nike history. The shark teeth embellishments and red laces of the Jordan 5 Retro Black Metallic (2016) inspired a 1-of-1 player exclusive version of the LeBron 15. The LeBron 15 edition joins a long line of high-performance basketball shoes designed by one of the NBA greats.
The Nike Lebron 15 incorporates two new technologies: Battleknit material and a trampoline-like cushioning system. Instead of using Flyknit material, the 15 features an upper made of Battleknit. Like Flyknit, this reinforced material is lightweight and breathable. However, it also delivers the support and elasticity needed to create the sneaker’s sock-like fit. The Lebron 15 combines a full-length Zoom Air unit with a full-length Max Air unit that wraps all the way under the shoe. This combination provides lightweight shock absorption and greater comfort while creating a slightly bulkier sole that contrasts with the ultra-sleek upper.
While most Nike Lebron 15 models come with "windows" in the midsole or outsole that allow you to see the Max Air Unit, others do not come with these transparent areas. One of the most recognizable models, the Nike LeBron 15 Performance Kith Closing Ceremony, features a rubber midsole without these windows and a striking floral embroidery pattern across the upper.
Although Nike LeBron 15 primarily offers men’s footwear, grade-school sizes are also available.
