Nike LeBron 8 Sneakers

When Nike was busy designing the Nike LeBron 8, LeBron James was in the middle of making one of the most important decisions of his NBA career. He chose to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team that drafted him in 2003, to join the Miami Heat, and in doing so, he sent shockwaves throughout the entire league. This would be bad news for the Cavs and their fans, but it would end up being great news for Nike since it enabled the company to create a slew of special Miami-themed colorways.

Before Nike could start tinkering with the colors used on the Nike LeBron 8, the company had to nail down a design for LeBron’s eighth signature sneaker. The company settled on a LeBron sneaker that featured a beefy silhouette and could provide more than enough support for a player like LeBron. It had everything from a dual-density molded internal collar and a sturdy TPU-injected frame to advanced FlyKnit technology and a larger-than-life 360-degree Max Air unit.

After working out the final design for the Nike LeBron 8, Nike also went wild when it was time to come up with colors for it. There would be a bunch of basic colors used that would result in shoes like the Nike LeBron 8 Blackout and the Nike LeBron 8 Black/White/Red. But there would also be brighter colorways made available, like the LeBron 8 South Beach, that were clearly influenced by LeBron’s decision to move to Miami.
