Travis Scott Cactus Jack x Takashi Murakami Flower Jumbo 2M PlushBlue

Product Description

The Travis Scott Cactus Jack x Takashi Murakami Flower Jumbo 2M Plush in Blue is one of the most extraordinary and culturally significant collector objects produced at the intersection of music, contemporary art, and merchandise culture in the past decade, a two-meter scale plush flower that brings together Murakami's most iconic and globally recognized floral imagery with Travis Scott's Cactus Jack creative universe in a physical object of genuinely monumental scale and cultural weight. Murakami's smiling flowers are among the most recognized and beloved motifs in contemporary art, appearing in paintings, sculpture, and collaborative products that have made the Japanese artist one of the most commercially successful and critically celebrated figures in the art world since the late 1990s, and their deployment in a two-meter plush format created in partnership with one of music's most culturally omnipresent artists creates a collector object that documents a specific and historically significant creative moment between two of the most globally recognized names in their respective fields. Blue as the plush colorway gives the jumbo Murakami flower a cool and slightly unexpected chromatic identity within the broader range of Murakami flower colorways, the blue tones creating a serene and slightly celestial version of a motif more commonly encountered in the warmer yellow, red, and pink expressions that have become the most familiar and immediately recognizable versions of the smiling flower concept.

Two-meter plush objects occupy a genuinely unique and space-defining collector category that requires both serious financial commitment and substantial physical accommodation, the scale transforming the collecting act from an acquisitive gesture into an architectural and environmental one that changes the character of any space it inhabits with the kind of permanent and unmissable presence that smaller collector objects cannot claim regardless of their cultural significance or financial value. At three thousand five hundred dollars the Cactus Jack x Murakami Flower Jumbo 2M Plush in blue represents a genuine fine art and cultural object investment rather than simply a premium merchandise acquisition, the object's scale, artistic provenance, and documentary significance as a record of the Travis Scott and Murakami creative relationship making it one of the most important collector pieces produced by either party's respective brand universes. For the most serious collectors who occupy both the Murakami and Travis Scott cultural spaces with genuine depth of knowledge and investment, this blue jumbo plush is an irreplaceable and historically significant object.

The Travis Scott Cactus Jack x Takashi Murakami Flower Jumbo 2M Plush in Blue was released on July 24, 2020 with a retail price of $3,500.
