Yusuke Hanai Facing The Current Figure

Product Description

The Yusuke Hanai Facing The Current Figure depicts a man and a dog traveling together in a small boat. Hanai turns a quiet moment on the water into a three-dimensional artwork, with the boat, figures, oars, and water forming a scene that can be viewed from several angles. Its story is conveyed through the characters and their journey rather than a large display base or printed graphic.

Made from polyurethane and stainless steel, the sculpture measures approximately 11 inches across. It was produced in an edition of 500, with a printed artist signature and edition number beneath the boat. A numbered certificate of authenticity accompanies the figure. Those details make the individual piece identifiable within the edition, an important feature for art toy collectors. Its compact scale gives the scene enough presence for display without requiring a large space.

Released on August 9, 2021, the Yusuke Hanai Facing The Current Figure retailed for $1,505. With its limited edition of 500 and carefully composed boat scene, it offers collectors a tangible piece of Hanai’s storytelling.
