The adidas NMD R1 South Park Professor Chaos was released to celebrate Professor Chaos, Bertler's super villain alter ego, from the movie South Park. South Park and adidas collaborated once again to add another iconic character to their series.

The South Park NMD R1 adidas features a bright Aqua blue base on the upper covered with creased silver foil overlays as an inspiration from Bertler’s alter ego costume. The silver hue is seen across the eye stays, heel and stripes. Additionally, the BOOST and the carved mold that partially encircles the sole, are both given a similar finish to that of the foil overlays. Other tributes to the would-be genius are the green rubber outsole, the yellow finish of the laces, and the red dot along the tongue, which correspond to his pants, hair, and helmet.
