The Jordan True Flight Black Metallic Gold is constructed from a nubuck material that gives it a unique character. It uses a black hue with gold appearances on the tongue and heel.

A nubuck black upper produces a dark leather strip, which covers the middle part of the tongue on this Jordan True Flight. Before terminating, the leather tucks underneath a golden sticker with a black "Jumpman" logo. On either side of the tongue are webbed eyelets. The quarter panels feature multiple overlays with the appearance of textile meshes near the heel. Beside a golden "Jumpman" logo on the ankle cage, another logo is present on the heel counter, encircled by grey plastic.
