The Balenciaga Track 2 Black was released to update the OG silhouette and does so by incorporating 176 panels on the upper in a black colorway.

The vamp of the Balenciaga Track 2 features a textile underlay and a mesh overlay, all covered by several layers of leather that extend to cover the mudguard. On the quarters, the multi-layer design continues, with intertwining leather strands that leave a translucent patch near the collar. Immediately before the lateral heel is white "BALENCIAGA" writing contrasting the dominantly black color. More branding is seen on the "track 2" motif on the tongue and embossed BALENCIAGA insignia on the counter.
