Broken Planet

Broken Planet is a streetwear brand founded in London in 2020, a creative offshoot that brought together founders Lukas Žvikas and Indrė Narbutaitė. The Lithuanian-born couple sought to launch a brand centered around streetwear with sustainable production.

As Broken Planet originated during the globally connected era of the 2020s, the label has seen social media play a large role in its communication, releases, and worldwide reputation. Broken Planet’s rise coincided with the rise of short viral social media videos, and they garnered a large following by presenting their products in videos out on the streets of London. Their gentle confrontational style is on display in styles like the Broken Planet Repair Services Hoodie Soot Black, which uses frank graphics in a comic-like aesthetic to convey their sustainable mission.

Broken Planet is serious about its sustainability, so they are transparent in their materials. Their signature GOTS-certified organic cotton is a reference to BP’s compliance with Global Organic Textile Standards. The GOTS certification ensures the sustainability of cotton harvesting, manufacturing, and distribution throughout its product life cycle, meeting strict environmental and ethical parameters. When BP does not use GOTS organic cotton, they opt for recycled cotton, which is the second most sustainable choice. Broken Planet’s sustainability is inherent in everything they make, and fans of sustainable fashion can enjoy discovering sneakers collection, clothes, and accessories from a host of brands that infuse consciousness into their product output.
