ghostwrite

Founded in 2022 by Josh Luber, co-founder of StockX and Fanatics Collectibles, ghostwrite is a collectible toy brand that produces blank canvas toys (or ghosts) designed to serve as a storytelling platform rather than being predefined characters. The brand's signature figure is the ghost, and as the name suggests, it's just a blank figure, no name, no face, no gender, just a faceless kid with a crown.

ghostwrite has introduced a new category of toys, faceless figures that serve as a blank canvas for collaborations with brands, artists, and cultural icons. The brand's signature figure is the ghost, a minimalist child-like figurine donning a crown, available in the 100% and 400% variants. ghostwrite's blank-canvas approach allows for easy customization and reinterpretation of the figures uniquely. The relatively new brand is already making waves in the collectibles scene, earning collaborations with various brands and entities, including adidas, NBA, WNBA, HIDDEN, among others, with this ghostwrite x adidas Originals x CLOT "ComplexCon HK" 400% 2025 (Edition of 50) figure coming off a collab with adidas and CLOT.

Unlike other toy makers, ghostwrite moves differently. The brand has a vision of redefining the collectibles market, with their figures marketed as "uncommon collectibles" and produced in limited editions that will never be restocked, enhancing their value in the collector's market. Uncommon collectibles must be paired with equally rare collectibles, so display these ghosts alongside rare collectibles like KAWS figures and Bearbricks.
