Hajime Sorayama

Hajime Sorayama is a Japanese illustrator who stepped into the limelight through his erotic portrayals of feminized, biomechanical robots, popularly known as sexy robots. Famous for his superrealism, precisely depicting hyperrealistic, futuristic, and ultra-sexy female figures, he has become a household name, with his influence extending beyond its art roots into the fashion realm.

Hajime Sorayama designs seamlessly blend fine art, industrial design, and illustration. His superrealism style has caught the eye of many prominent fashion giants, and the brand is now reaching the kind of streetwear renown shared by the likes of KAWS and Takashi Murakami. Sorayama’s influence in fashion introduces a high-tech, cybernetic edge to streetwear, making the brand’s designs feel like wearable art from a futuristic dreamscape. His ability to introduce retro-futurism into contemporary fashion has made him a sought-after name, earning him collaborations with Puma, Dior, and BAPE. Beyond fashion, he has also worked with Medicom Toy and XLarge, introducing his signature chrome finish to the Bearbrick x Xlarge x Hajime Sorayama 100% & 400% Set Gold —leaving his mark on collectibles too.

Hajime Sorayama’s influence in art, fashion, and pop culture remains palpable. Following in the footsteps of KAWS and Takashi Murakami, but in his sexy-chrome finished style, his work continues to redefine the boundaries of art, design, and streetwear.
