Market

Market, also known by their signage and web address as Market Studios, is a street- and casual wear brand based in Los Angeles, California, founded by Mike Cherman in 2016. With its flagship located in the heart of L.A. on La Brea Avenue, Market is known for its offbeat illustrations and merchandise, which offer an innovative and humorous take on streetwear classics.

Market creates a range of apparel, including graphic tees and hoodies, and original cut and sewn pieces. Styles like the Market Duck Camo Arc Crew Sweatshirt show the brand’s skill at off-preppy logowear staples, while the Market Smiley Afterhours Vacation Shirt shows how far they'll take their Smiley artwork. Fans of the brand know that Market does not tire of redesigning the Smiley, and its image is frequently deployed via one of Market’s signature idiosyncratic items, basketballs. As leaders in the custom-branded basketball sphere, Market teamed up with the originators of Smiley artwork to release a 50th Anniversary basketball, along with putting their spin on Smiley Basketballs in collaboration bands like the Rolling Stones and Funkadelic.

Beyond transforming basketballs into displayable works of art, Market has extended their round Smiley obsession to objects, like plush corduroy Smiley Basketballs and rugs. The Market Smiley Leopard Rug extends the Market lifestyle to your interior, creating the perfect accoutrement for a well-rounded Smiley Basketball collection.
