Undercover

Undercover is a street-culture and punk-influenced brand from Japan that was founded in 1993 by Jun Takahashi. Avant-garde aesthetics are the brand's specialty, as they masterfully blend high-fashion elements with the spirit of punk and street style. Undercover's designs often feature deconstructed garments and unconventional silhouettes, which are a reflection of Takahashi's interests in philosophy and human psychology.

Undercover became a worldwide sensation after their famous debut at the Paris Fashion Week when their spring/summer 2003 Scab collection was presented. They are a busy brand. In addition to designing their own lines and collections, the company regularly collaborates with other fashion giants to push boundaries. Nike is a frequent partner and tandem projects have resulted in innovative designs that blend athletic wear with Undercover's distinctive aesthetic, appealing to both fashion enthusiasts and sportswear consumers. For example, Undercover's 2018 collaboration to dress the Nike React Element 87 was all the rage. The Nike React Element 87 Undercover Green Mist and Undercover Lakeside were two of four rocking colorways that turned heads.

Another company that Undercover has collaborated with is the American brand The North Face, known for their outdoor clothing, footwear, and related equipment. An exclusive collaboration resulted in a cool The North Face x Undercover Soukuu Cloud Down Nuptse Jacket Sepia Brown/Concrete Grey with detachable sleeves and 800-fill water-repellent ProDown. Undercover's ability to merge streetwear with high fashion, while consistently challenging traditional design norms, has made the brand a standout in the fashion world.
