The Crocs Pollex Juniper by Salehe Bembury Apricot is the fourth colorway of Salehe Bembury's first traditional sneaker silhouette created in partnership with Crocs, a model that debuted in May 2024 as a significant expansion of the Pollex Pod platform beyond the clog format that made the collaboration one of the most celebrated footwear partnerships of the early 2020s. Bembury, whose career trajectory from Versace to New Balance to independent creative partnerships has made him one of the most consistently interesting designers working at the intersection of performance footwear and fine art aesthetics, designed the Pollex Juniper from the ground up as a structured sneaker that carries the fingerprint motif, wavy sole design, and expressive material sensibility that characterize all of his Crocs work into a more conventional athletic upper format. The Apricot colorway pairs a bright orange upper across the synthetic material with a light purple molded sole unit carrying Bembury's signature wavy Pollex structure, with blue TPU plates at the midfoot, rouge red laces, a tan and brown tongue and collar, and yellow tongue tags completing one of the most deliberately polychromatic and joyfully complex color stories in the entire Pollex Juniper series.
