The New Balance 990v2 Grey Green Maroon features the traditional New Balance design crafted in grey suede atop the slightly lighter grey mesh upper. 

Its tongue and the N logo on the midfoot come in berry-colored accents. The heel is covered in an oceanic blue-green suede, and the mudguard is accented with brown suede. On the top of the heel and toebox, a tiny amount of tan has been incorporated, and a tiny bit of light blue can be seen above the mudguard. The shoe's made-in-the-USA manufacture is acknowledged by black writing on the tongue and a plain "USA" inscription on the heel. Completing the design is the ABZORB cream and white midsoles, and blue accents on the heel.
