The New Balance XC 72 Castlerock is a running shoe with a gray and black color scheme.

A product of innovation, this sneaker features a nylon upper with chrome-free suede overlays, a stability heel clip with a herringbone outsole pattern, and a single-layer microfiber tongue. It also boasts a vertically split outsole with three distinctive traction patterns – two hard ground traction designs and a studded pattern. Branding-wise, this sneaker features oversized slanted "N" logos on its sidewalls, NB banding on its exposed tongue, and an XC 72 print on its insole.
