The Nike Air Max 90 Pirate Radio in a Navy Blue/gray/red colorway is one of two Nike releases that pays homage to the art of bootleg broadcasting.

On the Pirate Radio Nike Air Max 90, a gray synthetic upper is overlaid with Navy Blue leather with white double stitching. Hits of red TPU appear on the eye stays and midsole, while Navy Blue TPU adorns the upper eye stays. The silvery Nike Swoosh is embroidered, the laces are white, and the tongue is Navy Blue and sports a white tongue patch with blue Nike branding. White Nike Air branding accents the Navy Blue insole, which is surrounded by the navy sock liner. The white foam midsole houses a visible Air Max unit and sits atop a translucent blue rubber outsole.

The details we just love about this sneaker are the Pirate Radio details, including the white embossed radio waves with Nike branding on the red rubber heel patch, and the skull and lightning bolt in the center of the outsole.
