To commemorate last year's 25th anniversary of the Air Max 95, Nike released a special LeBron James edition of the silhouette with the Nike Air Max 95 NRG LeBron Lakers. The colorway nods to LeBron’s current team, the Los Angeles Lakers, with its gold and yellow palette.

The Nike Air Max NRG LeBron Lakers is a mismatched pair, with a left shoe made of a black mesh with gold Durabuck, and a right shoe of black mesh with purple Durabuck. Both sneakers feature a black mesh while Purple and gold detailing is prominent on the lace loops, plus Air Max branding on the tongue, and Nike Air branding on the reflective heel tab. The numbers "2" and "3" are located on the forefoot referencing LeBron’s jersey number. To wrap up this NBA-themed Air Max, a black midsole with Air units and a translucent outsole offers responsiveness and support.
