The Black Tie Dye Nike Air Max 97 sports an upper with a black canvas base overlaid with undulating leather panels in black and rainbow colors. An embroidered bright purple miniature Nike Swoosh accents the quarter panel just above the mudguard and bright purple appears again on the Air Max branding on the heel tab. This shoe features hidden laces for a more aerodynamic shape and pull loops on both the heel and the tongue for easy pull-on and pull off.

This colorful upper rests on our favorite part of the shoe, the high-performance midsole and outsole. The foam midsole houses a full-length Air Max unit from toe to heel and rests on a white rubber outsole with a debossed waffle pattern for traction and hits of bright purple to connect back to the upper.
