The Nike Air Max 98 Raptors were designed by Sergio Lozano. They pay homage to the original Air Max 98 Gundam with a modern twist and a colorway borrowed from the Raptors.

A white, black, and psychic purple colorway is chosen for this Max 98 Raptors sneaker. The upper is made using layered leather and mesh in black and white. The tongue is purple. The lateral quarter panel features the swoosh in red with a purple outline, while the medial quarter panel has an ellipse purple overlay. A white overlay on the vamp has the swoosh in purple. The upper mesh layer in white has black stripes along the quarter panels and vamp, while purple pinstripes are at the rear. The shoe has red laces, a white midsole with translucent Air Max units, and a black and purple rubber outsole.
