The upper of the Sequoia iteration of the Nike Free Run 2 begins with an olive-colored mesh with a darker crosshatch pattern. This base offers lightweight breathability as it forms your foot. A black synthetic midfoot cage overlay integrates into the eye stays to add support, a snug closure, and a distinctive aesthetic. Adding to this aesthetic is a darker green suede overlay that serves as a second sort of midfoot cage that extends to wrap around the toe and heel. An off-white Phylon midsole features a Zoom Air unit in the heel for ultimate springy cushion.

What we appreciate most about this running shoe is the rubber outsole in pods of off-white and black. It sports lugs to absorb shock and provide traction, and also features deep grooves that allow foot flexibility with every stride.
