Product Description

In 2020, west coast skate shop Atlas and Nike SB came together once again to work their magic to the Nike SB Dunk High. Dubbed "Lost At Sea," the skateboard sneaker brings attention to the "The Great Spill of 1990" where a cargo ship from Korea to the U.S. spilled out over 61,000 pairs of Nike sneakers into the sea after a storm. Some of the sneakers washed up on a Californian shore, including pairs of the Air Flight 90. This collaboration takes cues from the retro sneaker.

If a sneaker were to ever mimic a washed-up pair of Air Flight 90s, the Nike SB Dunk High Atlas does it very well. For starters, the embroidery on the tongue pays homage to enough to the cross-training shoe, showing off the Atlas brand name while miming the sneaker’s similar script. Moving down to the upper, it is entirely covered in faint sail and blue colors that are chipping away, adding to its distressed motif. Lastly, the yellowing midsole wraps up the collaboration to complete the old look to the new collaboration. A boat key float hangtag ensures these pairs will find their way to safety if they suffer the same wet fate as the pairs that inspired them.

The Nike SB Dunk High Atlas Lost At Sea released in October of 2020.
