Product Description

Vault by Vans honored Mexican painter Frida Kahlo by unveiling a collection of classic Vans sneakers featuring her artwork. The Vans Slip-On Frida Kahlo was one of the shoes that was a part of this collection that sought to celebrate some of Kahlo’s most notable works.

Like the other shoes in Vault by Vans’ Frida Kahlo collection, which also included an OG Sk8-Hi LX and an OG Authentic LX, the Slip-On came equipped with both a vulcanized sole and a crushed leather heel liner with plenty of cushioning. But what set it apart from the other shoes was that it featured Kahlo's famous painting, Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird, which she finished back in 1940.

The thing we liked best about this Slip-On was that it included one of Kahlo’s most instantly recognizable pieces. It made it easy to tell what the sneaker was celebrating from the start. The Vans Slip-On Frida Kahlo was released on June 29, 2019, when it retailed for $90.
