StockX Adds Maria “Chica” Lopez to Ambassador Roster

This week StockX welcomed Twitch streamer content creator Maria Lopez – better known as ‘Chica’ – to the company’s growing roster of brand ambassadors. An inspiration to athletes everywhere, Chica is one of few female gamers pioneering the space, and one of the only known for streaming in both English and Spanish. Chica joins the likes of Robert Neal, Paige Bueckers, Jamad Fiin, and Briana King as the latest on a diverse and growing list of talent working with the brand to advance access and equity in sports.

“To partner with a company like StockX is insane – just to think about it – because I use the app quite often. And never in my dreams would I ever have thought I would work with such a huge company,” Chica told StockX. “To do something like this – behind the scenes – sharing my story with fans and new people is amazing. I’m extremely appreciative of having the opportunity to work with you guys because it’s insane.”

Since the start of her full-time gaming career in college, Chica has garnered over 2 million followers on Twitch, cementing her as one of the most successful streamers on the platform. She recently released her own Fortnite Icon Series Skin inspired by her Puerto Rican heritage and connection to the LGBTQIA+ community. She joins some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment – such as LeBron James and Ariana Grande – in the Icon Series, which immortalizes celebrities and high-profile content creators with skins and other cosmetics in Fortnite. Her StockX partnership — which will include culturally relevant collaborations and campaigns, brand activations, live shopping opportunities, and more  — was announced this week on StockX and will kick off with an event at TwitchCon San Diego this weekend. 

From Oct. 7 through Oct. 9, gaming enthusiasts will have the opportunity to interact with Chica, Sydeon, and other StockX-affiliated streamers at TwitchCon San Diego, where the brand serves as a presenting sponsor. StockX will host an immersive booth experience featuring a roundtable discussion with Chica, Sydeon, AnneMunition, and Storymodebae about what it means to be a woman in the gaming industry. Additional booth programming includes Twitch livestreams, meet-and-greets, social giveaways, photo opportunities, and more. The schedule is as follows: 

Friday, October 7:

  • 5 PM PT: Day 1 Social Giveaway 

Saturday, October 8:

Sunday, October 9:
