StockX has teamed up with Reebok and designer Nicole McLaughlin to pre-release the Reebok x Nicole McLaughlin Club C Geo Mid via DropX, the platform’s innovative direct-to-consumer product release method. Inspired and designed by McLaughlin, her take on one of Reebok’s newest women’s silhouettes, the Club C Geo Mid, will be pre-released exclusively on StockX on Monday, Dec. 5 at 12 PM ET ahead of the sneaker’s wider release on Dec. 9 on Reebok.com. Proceeds from the DropX will benefit Sky High Farm, a non-profit organization committed to addressing food security and nutrition by improving access to fresh, nutritious food.

“Much like StockX, Nicole refuses to be limited by conventional rules, and her unique eye and penchant for functionality are front and center in this special Reebok collaboration,” said Deena Bahri, StockX CMO. “StockX’s commitment to providing access to products our customers might not otherwise be able to enjoy is core to who we are as a brand. As the first women’s exclusive sneaker to be introduced via DropX, this marks an important milestone for our program and we’re glad to be able to offer early access to the StockX community.”

Priced at $160 USD, the Reebok x Nicole McLaughlin Club C Geo Mid features an added pocket around the medial, lateral, and heel for storage, referencing similar styles of pockets found on hiking backpacks. The detail pays homage to McLaughlin’s desire to create ultra-functional pieces and the tongue includes a lace garage to tuck the shoelaces into to keep them out of the way.

“I try to partner with people and brands who are working to do more within our space. Whether it’s through giving back, being more inclusive or creating a purposeful environment,” said McLaughlin. “StockX, known as a resale platform and for its limited drops via DropX, has been building its charitable outreach by working with various programs that tie back to meaningful causes. They also support women and women’s initiatives through their Built Different campaign. So working with them on the launch of my Reebok Club C Geo Mid, with proceeds supporting Sky High Farms at a time of increasing food scarcity, is us doing more to help others.”

Known for transforming a vast range of discarded and thrifted items – from volleyballs to gummy candy – into functional footwear, apparel, and accessories, including slippers, shorts, and bralettes, McLaughlin turned a love of upcycling from a hobby to a career in 2018 following her start as a designer at Reebok in 2015. She joins a roster of global artists and creators — including Megan Thee Stallion, J Balvin, and Heron Preston — who have released products via DropX.

“Nicole has disrupted the way consumers think about the items in their closet and what to do with them after their perceived usefulness has passed.  She has been able to find beauty and utility in everyday items and transform them in a way that few have before her,” said Rich Dilando, Global Director of Product Management – Street Culture and Energy Collaborations at Reebok. “For our collaboration we wanted to do something disruptive in our go to market approach, and there are few things that have disrupted the marketplace in the way that StockX has. We feel there is something special by bringing these two transformative entities together to celebrate this partnership and the beautiful product Nicole has created with the Reebok team.”

Beginning Dec. 5 at 12 PM ET, limited quantities of the Reebok x Nicole McLaughlin Club C Geo Mid will be pre-released exclusively on StockX in women’s sizing, until supplies last. For more information and to purchase the sneaker, visit StockX
